Dr. Angela Stovall
Angela L. Stovall was born in the City of Los Angeles, CA. Angela received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology from Grambling State University in 1995, and continued her quest for knowledge in the Graduate Studies Program at Oral Roberts University in Tulsa, Oklahoma where she received her Masters of Arts Degree in Practical Theology in 1999. I March of 2004, she completed the Certified Medical Assistant Program at Lincoln University Medical School. On another journey in the educational arena, Angela earned her Masters of Arts in Christian Education and Doctorate of Theology from the East Bay Theological Seminary in 2007. Angela received her call to the ministry March of 1995. In 2003 Angela was licensed as a Missionary/Evangelist in the Church of God in Christ. Angela was ordained in April 2009, at the Chapel of Faith Baptist Church by Pastor L.C. Hall. Angela is also a Volunteer Chaplain at Kaiser Permanente, Oakland, CA. She is a woman of destiny and purpose postured by God to do great things in the very near future.
Victoria Adams
Crystal Sawyer-White
Crystal Sawyer-White was born in Nashville, Tennessee. She was raised in Detroit, Michigan and lived there for 14 years. Crystal just launched an Educational Consulting Agency-Partners for Future Minds. Crystal Sawyer-White has been a member of the School Site Council at Diablo Vista Elementary. She was elected to her first term as Antioch Unified School Board Trustee on November 8, 2016. Crystal shifted her focus to parent engagement and advocacy through social networking and presentations at parent workshops during the pandemic. She is a Former Secretary for the Contra Costa County School Board Association. Crystal is a Member of The East County NAACP and Black Women Organized for Political Action. She has resided in Antioch for 17 years. She is married and has two children. Crystal Sawyer-White has 6 years’ experience advocating for children with special needs, autism, and learning disabilities. Crystal Sawyer-White was the co-founder of Bay Area Tutorial for 14 years. She has been a Parent Advocate for 5 years. She worked as a Parent Education Teacher for teen mothers. She has a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from John F. Kennedy University and Master of Science in Education with an emphasis in Curriculum and Instructional Strategies from University of New England.
Willie Mims
Mr. Mims grew up in West Pittsburg, now called Bay Point, California where he attended and graduated from Pacifica High School in 1963. He married his wife, Darlene in July of 1967. They have two children and six grandchildren. Currently, Mr. Mims serves as a representative of the Black Political Association in Pittsburg, CA and is a member of the Executive Committee of the East County National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP) and also their Education Chair.
Dr. Lamont A. Francies
Dr. Lamont Ali Francies was born and raised in San Francisco, CA (Bayview/Hunter’s Point Community). He is the Senior Minister of the Delta Bay Church of Christ in Antioch California. He is an adjunct professor of Sociology at Brandman University. Dr. Francies also does equity work for local school districts and is a sought after speaker, conducting workshops for numerous educational institutions. Dr. Francies has been invited to speak nationwide at conferences dealing with African American Student Achievement. He has also authored several articles that deal with the the Black faith tradition and a critique of Multiculturalism. Dr. Francies was also the president of the Liberty Union High School District Black Educators Association and Mount Diablo Black Educators Association and remains an unapologetic advocate for Black students and families in East Contra Costa County. Dr. Francies holds a Masters of Arts in both Sociology & Counseling. He also holds a pupil personnel credential, a school administrative credential and a doctorate degree from the University of San Francisco in International & Multicultural Education. Dr. Francies currently lives in Oakley California with his wife Tiffany and their five children. Dr. Francies is currently the Senior Pastor of the Delta Bay Church of Christ in Antioch, CA. He has served in that position since 2007.
